How to access Göttingen:

By Car

  1. From the autobahn A7 between Kassel and Hannover, take the exit "Göttingen Nord".
  2. Drive straight along the B27 towards Braunlage.
  3. After approximately 6 km, turn left towards Nikolausberg (signposted).
  4. Take the third left onto the institute's campus.


By Air/Train
From Frankfurt Airport (2 hours)

  1. Take the ICE train directly to Göttingen from Long Distance Train Station (1 connection in every 2 hours).
  2. Alternatively, take local train (S-Bahn) to Frankfurt am Main Central Station (Frankfurt(Main)Hbf) and then change for an ICE train to Göttingen (2 connection in every hour).
  3. Normal ticket price for one-way:  63 EUR.

From Hanover Airport (1 to 1.5 hours)
  1. Take local train (S-Bahn) to Hanover Central Station (Hannover Hbf) and then change for an ICE-train to Göttingen.

Göttingen to Conference Venue

After arriving at Göttingen station, you can find taxis outside the train station. Alternatively, after levaing from the east exit, you can walk toward the main street and turn slight right, there is a bus stop 'Bahnhof D' and please take the bus line 51 and get off at 'Faßberg'. For bus line 5(direction: Nikolausberg), you will need to turn right to the Groner Landstraße and the bus stop 'Groner Tor' is at the corner.
